1950s Vintage 2 Piece Sweater Set by Ste. Lazare, Made in France

Adorable sweater set from France. The label is Ste. Lazare, and it is 100% virgin wool chenille. The label also says the outfit was hand sewn.

What is wonderful about this piece, is that it has its original belt. The condition is excellent with no holes, tears, rips or stains. There are one or two tiny variations in the knitting but that must be due to it being hand sewn. They do not stand out.

The waist is low on this so it really looks like a 1930s piece…
