Absolutely stunning late 1930s turban style hat with black gold metal trim. The hat has three felt bows in front accentuated by the gold. That same gold trim in a woven style goes around the top of the crown.
The hat is trimmed with netting in EXCELLENT condition. This is very rare!
The label inside the hat crown says:
98% Wool
2% Other Fibers
The label also includes the brand "HAVERHLL BRADFORD CORP" and "MADE IN U.S.A."
There is also a blue and white label on the bottom of the hat. This type of label was used to show that the product was made in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The label reads "Mfd. und FAIR LABOR STANDARDS CONSUMERS LABEL.” These
labels started in 1938 and ended in the 1950s.
CONDITION:
As mentioned the hat is in near MINT condition. No holes, tears, fading, chews or other issues.
SIZE: The hat sits on top of the head and has an elastic band to keep it in place. I have a 21” circumference and it fits me perfectly,
but I would say it is a one size fits all.
