This vintage 1940s dress is a classic example of the era's style. It's made of a black fabric which feels like a rayon crepe, almost a jersey. I suspect there might be a poly blend in the fabric.
The dress features long sleeves with small cuffs. The neckline is a modest square shape, and the bodice has a fitted waistline that flares into an A-line skirt, creating a flattering silhouette. A notable detail is the clear and black bead and sequin floral embellishment on the left shoulder.
The dress falls to below the knees, right above the calves. The dress has small shoulder pads and has its original zipper which is in great shape.
CONDITION:
The dress is in VERY GOOD PLUS condition. There is a 1% fade to a few areas and the belt is missing. Otherwise the dress has no holes, tears, or loose seams. The beading and squib area is in excellent condition.
