This is an incredible 1930s navy blue gown, cut on the bias. The fabric is a
combination of silk satin and a contrasting silk crepe.
(Please note some of the pictures the dress appear purple with a brighter light, but it is navy blue.)

The dress has a wide, cowl style neckline. The bodice is simple and fitted, leading into the flowing skirt.

The sleeves are a prominent feature with a braided woven design on the shoulders and the cuffs. The cuffs are cut in a “v” shape which elongates the arms.

The sleeves are called bishop sleeves which have voluminous fabric which finish the woven cuffs.

The waist is cinched with a wide, matching navy satin belt adorned with two large, decorative rhinestone buttons.

CONDITION:

The dress has some very slight fade which looks more
purple. This can be seen under one arm pit, and on the bottom of the skirt. It is not too noticeable.
