Vintage Late 1940s or Early 1950s Plaid Day Dress 2X

$148.00

Shipping to United States: $5.50

This is an iconic house (or “day”) dress from the late 1940s to early 1950s. And yes! Pockets!!!

This pattern on the cotton is a small black and white plaid with a black and red flower motif interspersed.

The dress has cap sleeves and features a fitted bodice and a slightly flared skirt. There is white lace Soutashe down the front and along the collar. There is no label so if it was sewn at home it was by an expert seamstress.

CONDITION:

I see no fading, tears, or holes. I find one area on the front bodice the size of a pea that looks very lightly discolored (see pic.) I am rating this in EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION.

Waist: 18.5” x 2
