1930s Maroon Velvet Dress

This is a 1930s silk velvet dress in a deep maroon burgundy color. The dress features a V-neckline and bodice. The neckline, top and bottom of bodice and are beautifully ruched. The waist has a sewn on tie belt.
The sleeves are puffed sleeves with ruched accents down the sides.

The skirt falls to approximately to just below the knees. The waist has an original side zipper in great condition.

CONDITION:

The front of the dress has no issues that I can find, neither does the belt or the bodice in front or back.

The back skirt has about 20 pin holes which have been sewn shut. There are two areas close together that have the worst areas with holes and are seen in the photos in this listing.

When worn in the evening the pin holes do not show but the dress is priced to reflect these issues. I am rating this as being in VERY GOOD CONDITION MINUS.
