The pattern is for a "Frock for Women and Misses" with a four-piece, slightly flared skirt. The skirt can be cut on the bias or straight and is attached at the natural waistline. The pattern also includes an optional sun-back design.
“Delineator style 1930s” refers to the fashion patterns promoted by the Delineator, a popular women’s magazine that ceased publication before the 1930s.
The Delineator magazine was primarily a catalog for Butterick sewing patterns and a key tastemaker for American women for decades. Although it merged with Pictorial Review in 1937 and ceased publication completely in 1939, its legacy continued through Butterick’s patterns, which followed the major fashion trends of the 1940s.
The “Deltor” is what they called the instruction guide included in the pattern.
