This is an AMAZING coat made from Persian lamb. It is extremely rare to find one in excellent condition but this is one of the few. The label is “Meier & Frank Co” in Portland, Oregon. As seen on the description of the department store in the pics, Meier & Frank opened in the 1870s and later became Macy’s.
The color is a blend of silver and gray tones, which is also very rare to find. The coat has a long, loose fit slightly longer than a swing coat.
The collar can be worn open or closed at the neck with a hook-and-eye closure. The sleeves are full-length with a cuffed detail. The inside lining on the sleeves is gathered.
The lining is a dusty rose pink. The pocket lining is in excellent condition as well.
There is one pin hole in the lining. The lining is slightly discolored. The fur has a couple faint yellowish areas which might be the color of the original lamb.
As there are no tears, or moth holes, stains or rips, I am rating this as being in EXCELLENT minus condition:
