This is a gorgeous black 1940s gaberdine jacket. It is a tailored, single-breasted jacket very emblematic of the period. There is a half circle design on the bosom area that ends with two rhinestone and silver metal buttons.
The jacket also features a sharp, pointed collar and a fitted waist, creating a classic hourglass
There are five round, black buttons running down the front closure. Two subtle, horizontal slit pockets are visible at the hips. The long sleeves end in wide cuffs.
The jacket is lined in black crepe. The label shows it was sold at “House of Harris, in Berkeley.” (Note: seller lives in Berkeley, CA.)
CONDITION: There is no fading, tears, rips, moth holes or issues of any kind on the gaberdine nor on the lining. The original buttons are all intact. I am rating this jacket as being in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
