This is a vintage 1920s Butterick #1024 sewing pattern for a ladies' slip-over one-piece dress.
The dress has a loose-fitting, straight silhouette with a dropped waistline, which was a hallmark of 1920s fashion.
Construction: Described as a "slip-over one-piece dress," featuring "bolero sides" and a straight skirt.
The skirt incorporates inverted plaits on each side of the front and back, attached to an underbody.
The pattern offers variations, including different sleeve lengths (long or short) and the use of contrasting materials, such as velvet for the face in View A.
Ease of Fit: "Outlet seams" are provided to allow for letting out the hips if needed, emphasizing the design's focus on a looser fit rather than a tailored waist.
This pattern size:
Bust: 40”
Hip: 42”
Finished back length: 46.5”
Pattern include the “Deltor” which is Butterick’s term for fold out instruction guide.
CONDITION:
The pieces and instruction guide are in excellent condition. The fold on the outside envelope has tiny tears. Envelope fold wrinkly and some wrinkles on body as is expected with a paper pattern about 100 years old.
