Gorgeous and rare wide brim felt cloche from the 1930s. The label says “BrownBell, Berkeley.”
Cloche hats were made popular in the 1920s and 1930s. They were close fitting hats as “cloche”
means “bell” in French.
This hat is a lovely light green color perfect for one’s summer frock.
The hat is in two panels that twist in the front. The back has a thick felt bow.
CONDITION: Except for one pin-sized chew on the front crown, the hat is in excellent condition. No fading, stains, rips or other issues. It is in remarkable shape for a 1930s felt hat.
The crown size would work for a 21-22” inch head size.
