This vintage 1940s rayon dress features the classic 1940s "nipped-in" high waist and a knee-length A-line skirt.
It has a crossover front or wrap-style bodice, which has a small modesty snap.
It has a very small collar and short sleeves which would have been worn in the day time.
The dress has four rayon and black velvet decorative buttons at the waist and faux flap pockets on the hips. One side of the bottom front skirt has a pleat.
The cold rayon fabric features a small geometric print that looks like half a curled shape.
The color is a muted earth tone, similar to shades described as chestnut, copper.
The dress has its original metal zipper.
CONDITION:
The dress is in excellent shape except for one small expertly patched hole in the front. If you look on the last photo, a small square of matching fabric covers the hole and is almost impossible to spot.
I am rating this as being in VERY GOOD CONDITION.
