This vintage 1940s jacket is tailored to fit the torso closely, creating an hourglass shape typical of the era.
The suit jacket has shoulder pads for a structured look.
There is ornate, scroll-like piping on the upper bodice and on the top of the pockets at the waist.
The front closure has four prominent, decorative gold-toned buttons with a floral motif.
The jacket has a notched, slightly scalloped collar design.
CONDITION:
The outside of the jacket is in excellent condition with no flaws noted. The color is even, the buttons are untarnished and there are no moth holes, stains, rips, or smells. The inside lining is in beautiful condition except some slight red staining under the arms. I am guessing the wearer had worn a red blouse underneath the jacket at some point.
Overall I am rating this as being in EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION.
