Vintage 1940s Violet Gaberdine Jacket SM XS

$148.00

This vintage lavender jacket flecked with black and cream stitching is a midcentury-style piece, likely from the late 1940s to early 1950s. It’s hard to capture the violet, lavender color as it has cool tones but it would look amazing on a blonde haired person.

The jacket is characterized by its highly structured, feminine silhouette and is lined inside with rayon crepe.

This jacket features a nipped waist (sometimes referred to as a "wasp waist"), which was a hallmark of 1950s tailoring intended to create an hourglass figure.

The jacket has classic notched lapels and has padded shoulders to enhance the defined silhouette. There is no label.

The front features a vertical row of five grey buttons with light lavender insides. They look to be made of some type of early plastic. The jacket also includes two decorative faux front pockets positioned near the lower waist.

CONDITION:

This jacket has absolutely no flaws. It has no tears, rips,
stains, or smells. I am rating this as being in EXCELLENT condition.
