This is a 1940s plus-size cotton day dress with a charming novelty print that zips in the front and his two generous pockets!
The fabric is a lightweight printed cotton, practical for daytime wear and typical of wartime/postwar-era summer dresses.
The print is a modified paisley medallion design in gray, charcoal, white, and cranberry colors.
The dress is fitted through the bodice and waist with a gently flared, A-line skirt. The neckline has a large scalloped collar edged in contrasting cranberry piping and decorative loop/ruffle trim.
The arms have key hole sleeves each finished with a pointed strip of fabric and button accent on each side.
CONDITION:
The dress has strong colors except for a slightly faded dress label. The seams are strong and I see no holes, tears, stains, yellowing or fading. I am rating this dress as being in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
