This is one of 3 pieces I am going to list from famous couture San Francisco designer Mark Jones. His collection is mostly from the 1980s. He focused on women’s pieces from the 1920s to the 1960s.

This piece is a reproduction 1960s-style two-piece linen dress ensemble in an unusual olive/chartreuse green. The dress features a fitted, square-necked sleeveless bodice, a defined waist, and a softly pleated A-line skirt falling to approximately knee length. A matching belt emphasizes the waist and is finished with a distinctive Bakelite buckle, composed of alternating green and contrasting metallic-toned vertical elements.

The matching cropped linen jacket is the dramatic feature of the ensemble. It has long sleeves with wide turned-back cuffs and an oversized, rounded shawl or cape-like collar that sweeps across the shoulders. please note the inside lining is silk.

I took a photo of the dress inside out as the piping is extraordinary!

The medium-weight linen has a beautifully visible natural weave and subtle slub, giving the fabric an authentic textured character. The bold olive/chartreuse color, sculptural jacket collar, geometric Bakelite buckle, and clean A-line silhouette create a sophisticated look that is strongly evocative of 1960s fashion.

CONDITION:

The only issue I see is in the belt buckle. The gold metal has flecks of wear. Otherwise see no stains, tears, holes, fading, nor are there any smells. I am rating this as being in EXCELLENT MINUS condition!
