Vintage 1940s Cream Felt Beaded Hat by Schermann Fifth Avenue New York 22 Inch

Such a beautiful piece and you would never know it’s a later piece except by looking at the tags. One tag says “Scherman Fifth Avenue New York” and one says “La Rome Oakland California.”

The hat is a soft cream color with silver bugle beads, rhinestones, pearls and tiny metallic flowers in a sort of spider design on the crown. There is a small felt tie on one side of the brim.

MEASUREMENTS: The crown is about 4” high. The brim is about 2.5” long.

CONDITION: There is one tiny pin prick on the brim towards the back (see pic.) On the inside brim towards the back, there is a slight off yellow stain which is extremely hard to see. The beading is all intact and the outside of the hat is in great shape. I am rating this as being in EXCELLENT MINUS CONDITION.

Good-aged: Overall good condition, either a little faded, or just looks "tired."
Fair: Numerous noted flaws, possibly wearable after care or repair.
Poor: Damage which cannot be repaired. Possible use as study piece or cutter.
